I got a bag of mesquite wood for smoking but they’re large chunks. Currently, I am working with wood chips so I got a hatchet to chop them up. The bonus is that I have never used one before and I love bladed weapons. Nor have I ever chopped wood.

This. Was. Fun. The more I did it, the better control and better aim I got. My left hand is by far inferior to my right hand.
Definitely need a better cutting block. Now I know why people use stumps. Being old makes standing up harder every day.
