Grilled Pork Kebab Recipe

What

Pork Kebabs made from pork ten­der­loin

Ingredients

*Mea­sure­ments are all to your taste

Main: Pork Ten­der­loin

Mari­nade: Cumin, ground corian­der, turmer­ic, fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sug­ar, shallot/onion minced, gar­lic cloves minced, salt, pep­per, lemon­grass, gin­ger

Option­al: Oat milk or coconut milk or some­thing heavy and creamy

Sup­plies: Plas­tic zip­per bag or mix­ing bowl for mar­i­nat­ing meat, bowl for mix­ing of mari­nade, met­al skew­ers or soaked wood skew­ers, grill, skew­er racks

Time

15 min­utes Prep + 30 min­utes to overnight set + 15 minute grill = 1 hour (past overnight if desired)

Steps

Prep

  • Pre­pare the meat — Slice to kebab chunks
  • If thick­er, then poke holes in it
  • Put meat in plas­tic zip­per bag or mix­ing bowl
  • Pre­pare the mari­nade — In a sep­a­rate bowl com­bine to your desired taste: cumin, ground corian­der, turmer­ic, fish sauce (just a smidgen unless you like the taste), soy sauce, rice wine, lime juice, brown sug­ar, shal­lot or onion minced, gar­lic cloves minced (2ish), salt, pep­per, lemon­grass (paste is fine), gin­ger (grat­ed), milk (oat, coconut, some­thing creamy)
  • When it tastes good, pour every­thing over meat
  • Com­bine every­thing well
  • Let sit from 30 min­utes (this is what I did and it was great) to overnight

Cooking

  • Soak wood­en skew­ers, if using
  • Take meat out of refrig­er­a­tor to room tem­per­a­ture
  • Fire up the grill
  • Thread meat onto skew­ers
  • Option­al but rec­om­mend­ed: use skew­er racks on grill
  • Grill until done­ness you desire
