Look­ing back on this post from 3 years lat­er, I don’t know what hap­pened to the text? Or if I fin­ished post­ing? I don’t know what hap­pened, but no mat­ter what, this is a ter­ri­ble pic­ture.

Also, as a den­tal pro­fes­sion­al, you can use Poli­den­t’s den­ture clean­er on your night­guards and retain­ers, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that it will stain them a yel­low­ish col­or. It does work, though it is not rec­om­mend­ed. My mom has been using Effer­dent on her night­guard once a week for almost 30 years and it is pris­tine, just dis­col­ored.

There is anoth­er option which is Poli­dent Pro Guard and Retain­er meant to clean retain­ers and night­guards while keep­ing them a clear col­or. I’ve used it off an on and I like it.
