- Cost: $8
- I used one 2″ x 6″ and one 1″ x 4″ with smaller cut pieces screwed on in order to make the 2″ width.
- You can see that the 2″ x 6″ in the rear of the picture (near the cab) fits perfectly in the built-in slot, while the front of the picture (near the tailgate) would likely fit two 2″x6″ pieces or three 2″x 4″ pieces.
- Because my bed is un-lined, I didn’t fully follow the measurements for the wood put forth by Ford in their videos. They mentioned that you don’t want a tight fit, but rather an easy fit. The final measurements for my dividers (after 4 or 5 attempts) are:
- Posterior (towards the tailgate): 54.375 inches (54-3/8″ or 138.1125 cm)
- Anterior (towards the cab): 43.5 inches (43-1/2″ or 110.49 cm)\
Notes
- Remember that my bed has no liner in it at all.
- My initial thought was to make the boards fit more snugly so that they won’t rattle on the road, but I ended up with too tight a fit, struggled to get the piece out, and ended up gouging the paint. In the end, they fit loosely, but I hear no noise while driving.
- The 2″x6″ is rather weighty, so if I were to redo this, I’d do what I did for the anterior piece and use the 1″x4″ with screwed on end pieces to fit. Trying to reach into the bed and lift the 2″x6″ with one hand is difficult
- The anterior division closest to the tailgate is the perfect-sized space for filled reusable grocery bags
