As part of every summer, whatever the weather, there’s always those times when we feast together. There are many holidays with cooking at the center to be a social focal point around which we gather. One of these sure to be the 4th of July where grilling reigns supreme. And thus is so, also in Hopewell Bay, where preparations are on for this very day. So much shopping to be done for the foods to eat. Whatever can be grilled: vegetables, cheese, and meat. But there is plenty else that this day entails. Activities as tradition, on this celebratory day. Some fine people dress up as a way to commemorate. Red, white, and blue goes a long way. And then there are parades. People taking to the streets to watch events unfold: marching bands, floats, dancers… Parades have them all! Being a part of these is a way to be enthralled. And as the day progresses there is still time for more. Still full of sustenance after a wonderful meal. And as the eve approaches will a welcome zeal. Here’s the final flourish from up in the sky!
